Music Theory 101 is an introductory course on the basic concepts of music theory, designed to teach beginner music enthusiasts the fundamentals on the primary subjects of music theory to give our students the education needed to be able to qualify for the Douglas College MTD (Music Technology) Program. In this course we cover the fundamentals of pitch and notation, scales and keys, chords and harmony, melody and form and finally, dynamics, articulation and expression. The tutorials are done using the popular music notation software Sibelius. Everything a beginner music enthusiast will need to know to understand the basic fundamentals of music theory.

Logic Pro X 101 is an introductory course that has been designed to teach beginners and intermediates the fundamental use of this popular recording software. This course takes new students over the Logic learning curve, showing how to compose, record, and edit tracks. Learn how to use the logic interface and integrated workflow. Learn how to record audio and how to record MIDI. Learn how to work with virtual instruments, use samples and Apple Loops. Learn how to use key editing such as automation and arranging techniques. Learn to add effects to your tracks and then finally, learn how to export them and have them ready for the world to hear. Welcome to Intession Music Tech's Pro Tools 101!

This course covers all of the fundamentals for using this popular and powerful recording software. We start by going over basic digital audio concepts and the Pro Tools software interface. Then we go into how to create a Pro Tools session, making an audio recording. Then, we explain how to import audio, work with MIDI, select, navigate, and edit within the Pro Tools interface. You will also learn automation, how to use effects and how to get set up for mixing. Everything a beginner needs to know to become a competent Pro Tools User.
